The London Mammoths are now 17-0 in the BBF's AA South Division following a comprehensive win over Daws Hill Spitfires on Sunday 27 July that secured top spot in Pool A. However, the Spitfires improved their own playoff chances with a tightly-fought win over the Richmond Dragons.
The Sheffield Bladerunners hosted the Manchester A's on Sunday 27 July for a doubleheader that would go a long way to deciding the composition of the playoffs in the BBF's AA North Division. Meanwhile, the Liverpool Trojans 2 dropped two games at Oldham.
It was another quiet Sunday in the BBF's Single-A Central Division on 20 July, with only two teams in action. However, the two teams in question came into their doubleheader sitting atop the division standings.
We are sad to report the passing of Brian Holland last night, following a recent stroke. Brian has been a member of the British Baseball community, a scoring official and a past Federation Board member for several decades and will be sorely missed.
