How Do I... Join A Team?
BASEBALL
The season runs from April to September, but most clubs or teams are very keen for new players to join at any point during the year.
Most – but not all – baseball clubs run youth as well as adult teams.

SOFTBALL
New players are always welcome in both slowpitch and fastpitch softball, and many leagues keep lists of teams that are looking for new players.
You can legally play adult softball at 14, though 16 is perhaps more advisable.
More than 95% of all adult softball teams play co-ed (mixed) slowpitch, where men and women play together on the same team, and teams are often looking for players of both sexes, even after the season has started. There are slowpitch leagues in many major cities and towns around the country.
There are also men's and women's slowpitch teams, usually made up of players from co-ed teams, that play in a number of single-sex slowpitch tournaments held throughout the season.
Women’s and men’s teams also play fastpitch softball, which is the international competition form of the sport, and these teams, too, are always looking for new players. Fastpitch teams tend to be concentrated around London and in the southern half of the country.
