Rare chance to see GB national baseball team on home soil
Over 6-7 July, supporters of GB Baseball will have their only opportunity to see Great Britain compete on domestic soil in 2007. In two games at Finsbury Park, London, a collection of GB-based candidates for GB's 2007 European Championships roster will face US Division III college powerhouse Johns Hopkins University and an all-star team from the National League.
On the evening of Friday 6 July, the GB candidates will face Johns Hopkins University, who are touring Europe with a party of more than 100 players, staff and supporters. The following day, the same group of GB roster candidates will face a selection of players drawn from teams in the National League, the British Baseball Federation's top division.

This will be the last evaluation opportunity for UK and Europe-based players prior to GB head coach Stephan Rapaglia making his final roster selections for the European Championships/Olympic Qualifiers in Barcelona in September, making this a very important event for British baseball. Last summer, fans flocked to Finsbury Park to watch a GB selection take on the Ireland national team as the Irish prepared for the European Championships Qualifier.

So, come out to Finsbury Park on 6-7 July to see some exciting, high-quality baseball and to support the GB team!

Schedule

Friday 6 July - JHU vs GB: Two 7-inning games, starting at 4:30pm.

Saturday 7 July - GB vs all-stars: One 9 inning game, starting at noon.

Refreshments and GB baseball caps will be available for purchase on both days and raffles will be held during the games.
