| Milwaukee Brewers Tryout Camp set for July 3 at Bracknell |
The Milwaukee Brewers are running a series of Open Tryout Camps in Europe this summer, and the British camp will be held on Thursday, July 3 starting at 10.00 am at the Bracknell Baseball Club’s home ground at Westmorland Park.
Other Brewers’ Tryout Camps will be held in Germany on Sunday, July 27 and in Hungary on Saturday, August 2.
Tryouts are open to all players aged 15 through 23, and there is no fee. Registration will be carried out 60 minutes prior to the start of camp. All participants should dress in suitable athletic clothing and bring their own glove, bat and helmet. Catchers should bring their own catching equipment and glove.
Following registration, Tryout Camp activities will consist of:
-- Timed 60 yard run.
-- Infielders workout.
-- Outfielders workout.
-- Catchers’ throwing.
-- Pitchers’ workout.
-- Live batting practice.
-- Wrap up.
All participants trying out must complete a waiver form and an information card during registration. Anyone under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian present to complete the waiver form.
