Kent Mariners look to pre-season training and new kit

By British Baseball Federation

The Kent Mariners Baseball Team has begun pre-season indoor training -- and will have a new look in 2016, having switched from their traditional white with black pinstripes to a new orange uniform.

After a transitional season in 2015 when many new recruits joined the team, the decision was made at the Mariners’ post-season AGM to make a change to the team’s jersey and pants.  Many options were discussed before the new look was voted on and agreed.

The jersey retains the traditional Mariners’ “M” motif on the sleeve, but with more contemporary lettering across the front.

PRE-SEASON TRAINING

Meanwhile, the Mariners have begun pre-season indoor training, with sessions every Sunday from 6:45-8:15 pm until 13 March at Aylesford School, Teapot Lane, ME20 7JU.

Prospective players of all ages and abilities are invited to get in touch via the Kent Mariners Baseball Club Facebook page or e-mail Kent Mariners General Manager James Pitcher on: thejamespitcher@gmail.com

The first training session will be free for all new recruits.
