The Cambridge Royals lost only their third game of the season on Sunday 27 July in the BBF's AAA Central Division as they split a doubleheader with the third-place Milton Keynes Bucks. But though the coronation has been delayed Cambridge all but has the crown in the bag.

The three teams heading to the playoffs in the BBF's AAA Central Division were all in action on Sunday 17 August. The division champion Cambridge Royals split a pair of games with the Rebels in Nottingham and the Milton Keynes Bucks took two games (one by forfeit) from the Birmingham Maple Leafs.

Sunday 20 July was a busy day in the BBF's AAA Central Division, as all five teams in the league took part in doubleheaders on a glorious summer day. The Cambridge Royals extended their almost unassailable lead with a sweep over the Richmond Knights from AAA South.

At the same time, the Milton Keynes Bucks put a severe dent in any hopes that the Nottingham Rebels had of catching the Royals.  The Bucks took two games at Nottingham to move within striking distance of the Rebels in the battle for second place.
