29 May: Daws Hill loses perfect record to the Latin Boys in Double-A South

Just two games were played on Sunday 29 May in the BBF’s Double-A South Division. First, the East London Latin Boys made another effort to end the Daws Hill Spitfires’ unbeaten season, and then the London Marauders also took on Daws Hill in search of their third win of the season.

It was Derby Day on 22 May in the BBF’s National Baseball League, as the London Mets and London Capitals met at Finsbury Park while the Southampton Mustangs took on the Brighton Jets on the South Coast. Meanwhile, the Essex Arrows travelled to play the Herts Falcons at Grovehill Ballpark.

The Liverpool Trojans travelled to Shildon on Sunday 22 May to take on the County Durham Spartans in the first-ever meeting between the two sides, brought about by the merger of Triple-A and Double-A North to form this year’s Northern Conference.

UK LITTLE LEAGUE QUALIFIERS TO BE HELD AT FARNHAM PARK ON 18 AND 19 JUNE

BSUK and the British Baseball Federation will host the 2016 UK Little League Qualifiers (UKLLQ) over the weekend of 18-19 June at Farnham Park. The winner at each age group (with the exception of U11) will earn the right to represent the UK at European Little League Qualifiers this summer.
