In the BBF's National Baseball League in 2014, seven teams became four and we are now left with only two – the Essex Arrows and the London Mets – who will meet in a two-of-three series for the National Baseball Championship on 30-31 August at Farnham Park.

The London Metros will play the Richmond Knights and the Hull Scorpions will take on the Cambridge Royals in semi-final games on Saturday 30 August at the BBF's AAA National Baseball Championships at Farnham Park, after all four teams won their quarter-finals on 24 August.

The London Mammoths rounded out a perfect 2014 regular season in the BBF's AA South Division with two comprehensive wins over the Richmond Dragons on Saturday 16 August, while the Sidewinders picked up two more wins over the Guildford Mavericks on Sunday to bolster their playoff credentials.

Rain was a problem once again in the BBF's AA North Division on Sunday 17 August, but the doubleheader between Bolton and Liverpool survived and ended in a split. Now the top four teams in the division are looking towards the playoffs.

The Hull Scorpions hosted the final weekend of the BBF's AAA North Division regular season on Sunday 17 August. The weather was turbulent at best, but both teams played through the wind and rain and two wins over Halton meant that Hull edged out Liverpool for the division title.
