Herts Futures Tournament set for this Saturday at Grovehill Ballpark

Seventeen teams, breaking the previous record of 15 entries, will be in action at the 2014 Herts Futures Tournament (HFT), to be played this Saturday, 20 September, at Grovehill Ballpark in Hemel Hempstead. In addition to U17, U14 and U12 divisions, an U10 division has been added this year.

REGENSBURG, GERMANY: SEPTEMBER 16 – Italy and GB went through the motions this afternoon in their final game in Pool A at the European Championships – a game that had little meaning for either of them. Italy picked up an easy 13-1 win in seven innings, but both teams now have other fish to fry.

REGENSBURG, GERMANY: SEPTEMBER 15 – The GB Baseball Team is heading for the Relegation Playoffs for the third straight European Championship. A 5-0 loss to Belgium today dropped GB's record to 1-3, and even an unlikely win over Pool A leaders Italy tomorrow won't be enough to save them.

National Baseball Championships for the BBF's National Baseball League and AAA Divisions were held at Farnham Park on the weekend of 30-31 August. The Essex Arrows were crowned as National Champions for 2014 and the Cambridge Royals captured the 2014 AAA title.

The London Mammoths rounded off an undefeated season in style with a clinical mercy rule win over the Bolton Robots of Doom in the BBF's AA National Championship Final on Sunday afternoon 7 September at Farnham Park. The game was effectively over when London scored 11 runs in the first inning.
