GB Senior National Team Head Coach Sam Dempster and his staff have announced the final 24-man roster that the GB Team will take to Germany and the Czech Republic in September for the European Baseball Championships. The tournament will be played from 12-21 September.

Training camps before international tournaments don't come much quicker than this. The GB Baseball Team assembled in Prague on Monday 8 September, had two training sessions on Tuesday, played two six-inning scrimmage games on Wednesday and will have one more training session Thursday morning.

The European Baseball Championships were meant to get under way on Friday morning, 12 September, in two different countries, with Pool A (including Great Britain) playing in Regensburg, Germany and Pool B playing in Ostrava, Czech Republic. But in Regensburg, there is nothing but rain.

The Essex Arrows sealed their first National Baseball Championship title with a two-game sweep of the London Mets. Having taken Game One 5-1 on Saturday this was a must-win for London but a dramatic ending sealed a 5-4 victory, and the title, for the Arrows.

REGENSBURG, GERMANY: SEPTEMBER 16 – Italy and GB went through the motions this afternoon in their final game in Pool A at the European Championships – a game that had little meaning for either of them. Italy picked up an easy 13-1 win in seven innings, but both teams now have other fish to fry.
