The baseball gods were smiling on Britain on Sunday 18 May, with uninterrupted sunshine throughout most of the country. This made it perfect weather for baseball, and teams in the BBF’s Single-A South Division put on quite a show.

The Newton Aycliffe Spartans continued their perfect start to the season in the BBF's AA North Division, sweeping the Manchester A’s on Sunday 4 May. Liverpool Trojans II also took two games in their league debut, while Sheffield and Bolton split their doubleheader.

The Nottingham Rebels got back to winning ways in the BBF's AAA Central Division with a brace of victories in a doubleheader against the Leicester Blue Sox on Sunday 18 May, the only games played in the division that day. The wins gave the Rebels a share of second place.
