It was an interesting day of baseball in the BBF’s Triple-A South Division on Sunday 17 May as the London Mammoths stumbled for the first time, losing both games to the Richmond Knights, while the Oxford Kings took two hard-fought games from the Brighton Bulldogs to run their record to 4-0.

Baseball in the BBF’s Triple-A North Division was back on Sunday 17 May when the Cartmel Valley Lions made the trip to Bootle Stadium to take on a reduced Liverpool Trojans side. But there was enough fight in the Trojans to come back from a mercy rule Game One loss and split the doubleheader.

No league games were played in the BBF’s Triple-A North Division on Sunday 10 May due to Liverpool’s inability to raise a team to fulfil their scheduled games against the Hull Scorpions. The games were postponed rather than forfeited, and the hope is that they can be played later in the season.

The Long Eaton Storm are the early pacesetters in the BBF’s Double-A Central Division after making it two sweeps out of two on 10 May at the expense of the Leicester 2Sox. The Storm have now moved into first place, a game ahead of the Cambridge Monarchs.
