National Baseball League

The British Baseball Federation (BBF) top flight league is the National Baseball League (or simply called the NBL). In 2017, the teams in the NBL consist of (in alphabetical order): Brighton - Jets, Essex, Arrows, Herts - Falcons, London - Capitals, London - Mets, London - Pirates, Southampton - Mustangs 

The NBL schedule will consist of up to thirty games of play. The season all starts on Sunday, 2 April 2017 at Farnham Park (Slough) which will see last years national champion the Southampton Mustangs v London Mets. Both teams above return from top competition in last years NBL season which was one of the closest races in BBF history.  

The NBL season runs from April to August with the National Baseball Championships taking place in late August and early September. 

Players in our NBL leagues consist of former and present GB Baseball, former collegiate and locally developed league players. 

Regular season days of competition (fixtures) which will consist primarily of doubleheaders on the same day. Entry to all the games in the regular season, will be free and fans are welcomed to attend.

  • Long-time Essex Arrows Manager Phil Chesterton passed away in his sleep on 3 August.  His life and achievements have been celebrated at the club and at various baseball events.  Arrows’ Chair David Shaer has now written a tribute to the man who had been the club’s heart and soul from its beginning.
